First, I respect the need to generate income and revenue. However, the current pricing change that is in place will negatively affect my own playing and I am suspecting that others will also equally be negatively affected.
It is my sincere hope that the management team at #1 Paintball will find another source to increase their income and revenue rather than altering the field fees in such a way as to increase the cost in such a significant manner.
For illustration purposes, under the original pricing scheme, I would pay $59.90 for an unlimited access "All Parks" pass for 30 consecutive days. Because of my work schedule, I would be only likely to play a maximum of 10 days. Under the new pricing scheme, these same 10 days would cost approximately $114.90.
The idea of offering any form of unlimited pass to any recreational activity is to increase the numbers of persons using that facility. It is interesting that most amusement parks, zoos and other activities offer an unlimited annual or seasonal pass for nearly double the standard admission price. These other facilities are able to do this because their revenue is not limited to admission fees but they have other means of generating income.
I repeat my hope that the management will consider other means of generating the necessary revenue and income gap and not return to the previous pricing scheme, but rather make a single fee for access to all parks. This can be in various levels or a single program. But this current scheme will prevent the numbers of customers needed to make the park locations a success.
Best regards always.
